Though considered a special installment in Rockstar's GTA series, this game distinguishes itself from previous versions. Notably, the game map has been revamped, with locations inspired by real-life places outside of New York City. It seems Rockstar aimed to tap into the vast Chinese gaming market by designing a GTA version that incorporates elements from China into its map.

GAMEPLAY

Despite some critical reviews on Google Play, I find this game quite enjoyable. The engaging plot contributes to my positive impression. The protagonist is a member of a Chinese mafia family who, after being betrayed, travels to Liberty City seeking revenge and to restore his family's honor. Along the way, he confronts rival gangs and engages in drug and weapon deals to protect himself and his interests.

• Similarity: Although part of Rockstar's GTA franchise, the storyline is distinct from previous versions.

CHARACTER

The character customization in this game seems lacking, as I couldn't alter the character's initial appearance. Unlike previous GTA versions where characters could be made bigger, fatter, or more muscular, this game doesn't allow such changes. Players can't modify their character's appearance or enjoy in-game facilities like clothing stores or barbershops.

• Customize body: Players cannot fully customize the character's appearance.
• Enjoy facility: Participation in in-game stores is restricted.

GRAPHICS

While I've praised the storyline, I'm disappointed with the graphics. The visuals seem to regress compared to previous GTA versions. However, it wouldn't be fair to rate the game poorly solely based on this. As a mobile-exclusive GTA version, expectations for high-end graphics should be tempered. Objectively, the graphics are suitable for mobile gameplay, offering a clear and user-friendly experience.
