Dicefolk is a game that competes directly with Pokemon by combining creature collection, roguelike elements, and dice combat. Players step into the shoes of Alea, a renowned nomad who discovers she can use her dice to tame Chimera, magical creatures roaming a land cursed by the evil Salem centuries ago.

A NEW ADVENTURE BEGINS WITH ALEA

Dicefolk possess the ability to use magical dice to influence the will of living creatures, but only a select few can wield this power effectively. Alea's mastery of this cursed ability is extraordinary, and despite facing numerous challenges, she chooses to use her skills to conquer any Chimera she encounters. Her goal is to harness the Chimera's power to defeat Salem and uncover the mysteries surrounding these creatures.

Dicefolk starts players off with a few basic Chimera that wander randomly across the map. Players must discover and collect more monsters to build a team for boss battles, allowing them to progress to new areas. Players cannot advance without engaging in battles with other Chimera, which leads to three-on-three combat. If all of a player's Chimera are defeated, the game ends.

UNLIMITED CHALLENGING BATTLES

In Dicefolk, rotation isn't just about selecting who attacks or commands; the act of rotating and switching positions influences the battle's outcome. Some Chimera can attack all enemies when placed in the lead position.

Others, when rotated, can inflict negative statuses on random enemies, with special abilities revealed during combat. Equipment and items found along the journey can grant special effects, such as allowing a Chimera to deal triple damage when moved to the lead position.

The captivating art style, robust combat mechanics, and strategic player choices make Dicefolk a valuable addition to the roguelike genre.
